Experience historic charm: living in a listed building

The house at Westernstraße 38a was built in 1808 for the French city commander while Wernigerode was part of the newly formed Kingdom of Westphalia. Rumour even has it that Napoleon’s brother, Jérôme Bonaparte, was a guest in this beautifully renovated historic building, which tells much of its history through its architecture, imagery and objects.

Since 2020, we have been able to welcome guests to two (separate) holiday flats of different sizes, where they can spend their holidays, relax and explore the colourful town in the Harz Mountains and its surroundings.

Modern accommodation in a quiet location on the outskirts of town

A little away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, these two holiday homes have been welcoming guests since 2020 who are looking for the perfect mix of relaxation and exploration.

Although we are located just outside the city centre, you can still easily reach the lively streets of the city. Take your time to explore the local sights, sample the delicious cuisine in the cosy restaurants and discover the culture of the region.

  Wir haben unseren Urlaub in einem kleinen aber feinen Appartement in Wernigerode verbracht, zentrumnah gelegenen. Durch die sehr gute Anbindung mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln konnten wir unsere Ziele sehr gut erreichen. So haben wir Erinnerungen auffrischen aber auch Neues entdecken können. Unser Auto hatte somit auch eine Woche Urlaub!

  Einfach der perfekte Ort, um Wernigerode zu erkunden. Wir waren schon in vielen Ferien Apartments, aber hier war es mit Abstand am schönsten. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder

  geweldig verblijf voor wil genieten van de HSB treinen welke hier voorbij komen . Stationnetje is hier zo'n 100m vandaan . ook is hier de bekende overweg over de kruising. Eine tolle Unterkunft, wenn Sie die vorbeifahrenden HSB-Züge genießen möchten. Der Bahnhof ist etwa 100 Meter entfernt. Hier befindet sich auch der berühmte Bahnübergang. Schönes, sauberes Zimmer mit geräumigem Bad.

  Moderne lejlighed i historisk bygning. Mangler ikke noget, rent og pænt. Meget central beliggenhed ift den gamle smukke bymidte. Sibylle meget venlig og imødekommende.

  An absolutely well appointed apartment set in an ideally located part of Wernigerode. Loved the little touches such as a few drinks in the fridge, some coffee pods and tea and the emergency care pack. Comfortable bed and a very friendly host.

  Die FeWo Harzträume No.2 ist sehr hochwertig eingerichtet und mit vielen, liebevollen Details versehen, haben wir uns hier sofort wohl gefühlt. In der Unterkunft fehlt es an nichts. Die zentrale Lage am Westerntor ist super für einen Bummel in das Zentrum. Der Parkplatz ( gesichert im Grundstück) ist ein großer Pluspunkt. Die Gastgeberin hat uns persönlich empfangen, alles erklärt und war bei Fragen immer telefonisch für uns da. Frische Blumen und ein Willkommensgruß im Kühlschrank hatten wir noch nie. Danke dafür!!! Diese Wohnung ist einfach der Hammer und nur zu empfehlen. Danke sagen Harald und Brigitte R. (72, 75 Jahre)
